Shaped Dress TitleMost of you have heard of the must have closet items. Every stylist & fashion guru spouts off his or her favourite selection…& yes they are mostly all good building blocks for a working wardrobe. While I also have a top 10 list, I also have other items of clothing that I see as really important to offer you a wider variety of options. Over the coming weeks I’m going to share with you my view of essential clothing pieces that help to make up the bulk of my own wardrobe.

NOTE: these items are not listed in any particular order of importance or preference; I see them all as important as each other!

The ‘Shaped Dress’ is a must have staple. If you haven’t got one in yourShaped Dress wardrobe…go & get one now! Any dress or top that has specific ruching, draping, tying, knotting and shape to its design is going to create curves if you don’t have them naturally, camouflage a flabby middle & gently flow over those who do have plenty of their own natural curves. It’s a win-win for any body shape!!

The good thing about a shaped dress or a tunic is that you don’t have to think of what to put with it unlike a top. It is in itself an outfit.

You may want to put leggings or skinny pants/jeans underneath if it is on the short side; perhaps a jacket during colder weather; you could also team it with boots, heels or flats. It’s an item of clothing you are not going to have to think about or tweak to make it look right. It’s going to be flattering whether you are having a fat day, only have 5mins to get dressed in the morning or need something to give you a feminine edge. It is a super go to item that will take you too many different occasions.
